Realising his search is in vain Qualme seeks shelter on a low branch of a nearby tree, reaching into his cloak he removes his hipflask which he opens then splashes on his wound, removing his cloak and top he takes a sip from the flask then removes a needle and thread from his cloak, he threads the needle and begins to stitch up his would the best that he can, ignoring the pain. Once he is done he takes another sip from the flask before returning it and the needle and the remaining thread to his cloak, he then gets redressed and leans back and shuts his eyes to try and get some sleep.
