Ok, it's becoming a bit of a week for tech probs.

Floppy disk drive in my machine, the green LED comes on as soon as the computer is switched on, doesn't go out. System boots up as normal, yet when I insert a floppy disk in windows I get a "Please insert floppy disk" error message. It can't read any disks.

I've tried putting in a brand new FDD, same problem, and all cables etc. inside the PC look/work ok.

Any ideas what is wrong?
