Re: Winners of R17 (1up not included)

Re: f-crew FO

This is correct, if I recall correctly. I'm not sure how this is having double standards however - if whoever simmons had been hitting in the past had come forward and complained, it would have been...

Re: F-crew finish 3rd?

I don't see why that's true. Within any alliance there's a diversity of opinion, and due to its nature F-Crew has a wider scope of opinion than most others. I've never seen F-Crew as a "training...

Re: quests

It might also be helpful in getting the concept of XP over to new players, if one of the quests were say, capture X roids from a planet of greater value.

Personally I thought they added an extra...

Re: Your biggest Crash!

Earlier in the round I had a good one.

I was expecting fairly heavy incomings overnight so I prelaunched my fleet to 1:1:1, +11 prelaunch. I knew I was up early for a 9am lecture and a full day in...

Re: how do i win?!?

Only if you're able to keep them for quite a while, and even then, there are better ways to use the fleets.

And as I and numerous other posters above pointed out, sacrificing your fleet is a...

Re: how do i win?!?

This would seem to answer the problem. You're not going to win by two waving someone below your bash limit.

In the long run, losing 80k value in an attack isn't going to win you the game. It's a...

Re: a bit pathetic??

The problem is, it's a really hard thing to stop. I know Wakey devoted half of last round to messaging attackers if they were hitting comparatively low valued targets, but it doesn't really change...

Re: playing for experience score - only a shortterm effect?

I think you've hit the nail on the head on there. I'm not a 'dedicated' player - I like my sleep, I'm in the final year of my degree which takes priority, and I'm not in an alliance that can fend off...

Re: Failed cov ops

Don't you already get a (admittedly tiny) XP gain from blocking covert ops?

Personally I don't see how a resource bonus would help as stopping people covert opping you is an incentive in itself.

Re: Alliance Limits Concern

I think it's a serious problem. On the one hand, I quite like the limit, because this round has a wider range of alliances and that equals a more exciting game. There's certainly a lot of competition...

Re: Speculation over zz-crew

I'm sorry to hear that zzhou but I heard that the real reason zz-crew has left the game is out of fear of F-Crew now that we've acquired zz-crew's BLITZKRIEG attacks.

Re: The Farnborough [F-Crew] Recruitment thread for round 16

In my new role as spin doctor in Wakey's absence I'd like to point out that the entirety of F-Crew deserves credit for providing the inspiration for the recruitment posts in the form of their undying...

Re: Orbit - The poster boys for failure

I don't think that's really the case, we're still mostly hitting in the top 20. It's not a case of 'forgetting' or 'learning' either. In my experience most of the members who come to F-Crew are...

Re: protecting the small guys?

While I don't agree with rop's points quite, I do think that the two arguments thrown back at him in these threads are pretty wide of the mark : (i) that it's caused by bad fleet composition, (ii)...

Re: Official zz-crew announcement

That was actually a subtle satire of Wakey's posts (produced by my experimental English-to-Wakeyish(TM) translator where you input a sentence and it converts it to several pages of writing) but it...

Re: Alliances bashing players and making them quit

Indeed, I checked it out, and F-Crew is not the only alliance hitting your galaxy last night (and we're probably about as miffed about that as you are) - you only have one F-Crrew wave on you (and...

And then, undoubtedly, someone from 1up or another bigger alliance would step forward and say it's all part of the game and we should live with it ¬__¬

1. I don't like...

Let's be honest here : this is either a wipe out F-Crew tactic or you guys are under the impression that stealing 30 roids is a good attack.

Re: The Surprise Alliance of Round 14

I think APA can pull off a top ten finish this round. They're more competent than anybody gives them credit for.

Hey, we take our training responsibilities very seriously! Just look at the effort that Keg's putting into teaching Wakey about the need to hit bigger targets for XP gains.
