Re: Defence Recall Suggestion

Erm, did I stumble upon some form of private forums ?
Last time I checked, the suggestion forums was here to recieve feedback on an idea, from the public, of whom I am part of.

Just because your...

Re: Defence Recall Suggestion

This has been suggested before.

Firstly, it's open to abuse, to begin with, I certainly wouldn't want another planet controlling my fleets.
Let alone the fact that there are plenty of times where...

Re: time for this old man to retire

After your dropping out in pia a few rounds back, I thought we were done for in PA last round when I reliased you were creating the galaxy.
But you certainly proved your worth, and deserve the...

Re: Massive scanning - rank #1 point of view

We had already won via combat.

And to prove the point even with being idle for 25% of the round, we still will, including copping a decent penalty for our trouble of doing nothing wrong.

What...

Re: MASSIVE abuse of Scanning

Playmates still win the game.

Nothing good came from the change. Only the angering of hundreds of players.
Whether you agree with the fact scanning was able to be used to get cheap score or not,...

Re: MASSIVE abuse of Scanning

Look, I think I know why you are so miguided in how to calc the score gained from scans.
It's simple economics.

If you buy something for $1, and sell it for $2, you make $1.
If you decide to up...

Re: MASSIVE abuse of Scanning

Yes, my last calc was based on fleet anal, not jgp.
To recalc, with a JGP, being 6k res of each.

A jumpgate, costing 6000 of each res, gave you 60 XP.
You would then lose 18k of res. Which was a...

Re: Massive scanning - rank #1 point of view

No, more correctly, you are fabricating a point.

Launching a fleet creates server load, we don't how much (as players), but we can only tell that when 10,000 people do it, and the server dies,...

Re: MASSIVE abuse of Scanning

Incorrect, a jumpgate, costing 7000 of each res, gave you 70 XP.
You would then lose 21k of res. Which was a value drop of 105.
Then your score was calculated, you gained 70*6 score, and lost 105...

Re: MASSIVE abuse of Scanning

Actually, it was previously 3x the score, and has been changed to a negative score.
Literally negative.

Tests show:
36k Res are worth 180 score left as resources.
When spent, are worth 360...

Re: Massive scanning - rank #1 point of view

So what are you trying to say here, are you defending or attacking the scanning ?
As far as "20" people, get a quote from Spinner to be sure.
And just quietly, it was tested quite thoroughly before...

Re: MASSIVE abuse of Scanning

I don't know exactly who you were aiming that at, but it's clearly to the "scanners".
The fact is, we were already well ahead of the rest of the universe, far before we scanned.
Even when we had...

Re: MASSIVE abuse of Scanning

This is not an argument for us to get anything back, it can not be that, for the simple fact that PA has already killed itself so many times by not listening to the players, I never expect it to...

Re: MASSIVE abuse of Scanning

You're ignorance astounds me.

Go click on the scan link a few times per second. The page doesn't reload, and you can drill through hundreds of scans in a minute or two. All that needs to happen is...

Re: MASSIVE abuse of Scanning

Oh, and good job on changing the scan calc now.
Currently you *lose* score from scanning. The way it stands, you could eraidcate your entire XP by scanning.

How about the formulas get created by...

Re: MASSIVE abuse of Scanning

Completely incorrect.

It is a well known fact that scans give score. It has been one of the most advertised features of this new style of PA for the past few rounds. Same as co-oping.
We calced...

Re: Universe ranking and score

I have brought up a point with Kloopy near the beginning of Round 10 that the scoring system was going to really annoy people, and it did.
The reason being, is that the "Score" was a useless,...

I think what he was asking, was like a buddy list.
Sort of like a mini alliance, but you don't get the current alliance benefits.
It is another communication tool; not so much like a forum, but the...
