I don't think "rarely" comes into it with those numbers.

Scanners already rarely reach 300 amps - check the Misc Stats. Or, for that matter, the rest of this thread.

It goes against everything else scan wise though, and pretty much reverses the logic. A fixed cost might not be too much of a departure, but increasing based on amp count makes no sense.

Fixed cost or initial cost? Currently scan costs go down if a scanner has more amps.

The main counter to this is that planets building dists need factories etc to have a viable planet. Dedicated scanners aren't limited to having a "viable" planet.

That one looks like it's in the split. If you just enter "resources" then it splits them between M/C/E. If you enter the 3 types individually it's fine.

The alliance def fleets give you something (you can def while sleeping) so it makes sense for there to be a cost (they're vulnerable to attack). If you aren't there to check and can't/won't be woken...

I wish I could like TG, but I can't. They claim to be secure, but don't encrypt chats by default, can't encrypt group chats at all and when they do encrypt, it's all home-grown crypto. It's terrible....

You do need a mobile to set it up, but there's a web interface for use on your desktop if you like. I think it may be slaved though, so your phone would need to be on/connected. I haven't checked...
