well the thing is, if you just hit enter it goes right to a pro,mt that reads c:\windows\ because it sways hit enter to cancel. How would I use a blank password in this case?

A friend of mine got that RPC error and I sent her to the patch, which fixed the count down. The next day though, her computer froze (don't know if she rebooted between those times, I'd assume so)...

I've been trying to sort out where windows keeps the settings for which directories retain what view type (ie list, thumbnail etc) so that i can work out a method of making them all list....

I thought that cutoff for win98 was 7-something? Anyway, thats a real odd problem. Take some **** off your startup menu (start > run > msconfig > startup tab) and reboot.
