Not only were more asteroids added to the universe by reducing the init cost from 250 to 150, but for no given reason the ship costs were also reduced heavily.

When you init a roid - there is a chance (tba) of getting a golden roid (if any remain) of say 0.0001%

Currently salvage works by the value of the fleets in questio (presence).

If you send your ships to a planet and kill a lot of stuff, and lose a load of ships only to find that your salvage is...

Reasonable suggestion - the game can surely cope with a difficulty curve in play.

It is perhaps unreasonable that even to get started you have to be as active and work as hard as possible.
