If you can't get higher levels of skill, then how come I saw a wide variety of skill when we played it all the time at school

There was also very little difficulty (if you used the...

Re: The Console War

The ability to just look around is the most useful thing, although moreso in Perfect Dark as the levels are less flat.

Works pretty well in Goldeneye, if you set it to the 1.2 controls rather than 1.1.

You think that X-Men II is drastically worse than X-Men I? III I can understand, but II?

I don't really see how you can view the ending of Minority Report as a particularly happy one,...

I would say that the directors cut of Aliens, like the directors cut of all Cameron films, is much much more interesting if you have seen the film a few times previous. The pacing is much worse, but...

Ignoring, as you say, the apparant "latent racism", that piece misses the mark with Rocky so much it's painful. The fact that Rocky loses is not some forced nod to realism, it's the core of the...

Re: If you could only listen to artists starting with one letter of the alphabet

Of Nick Cave's stuff, I generally prefer more melodic things like No More Shall We Part, or Murder Ballads, to the more Grinderman/Birthday Party direction.

If you think the Kaiser Chiefs are an example of a terrible band, then god knows you haven't experienced much music. Try listening to, say, the Butthole Surfers or a similarly terrible group.

Re: Best Sci-Fi Movie

I'm terribly confused. Orson Welles didn't make a WotW film, he made a radio play version. In 1938. Although there was an earlier film version than the Spielberg. But that was made in 1953.

Re: First Person shooters with a decent storyline.

Alien Vs Predator is good, although it's not so much for the plot as for the sense of being in the film Aliens.

NOLF1 and 2 are pretty essential, there's very mild RPG elements but it's very mild....
