Not really, it appears that Asc do the same every round. There may be talk of 'Let's win this round!' but at the end of the day it normally goes wrong somewhere and everyone just dosses around.

afaik you simply slow down... a lot. you dont move up, this effect is caused by the camera man who is usually still in free fall, continuing to descend at the same rate while you slow down.
