To be clear, that was 37k total resources per tick, not 37k of each. And, I think the alliance tax had been temporarily bumped when I checked. I don't often look at what it is.

Right now I'm basically paying 37k resources per tick for my scans, and likely for smaller planets also. So, it costs a lot for us all.

I did like the old system of staying up all night to initiate roids. It gave the beginning of the round a celebratory feeling.

As a way to reward battle: Give xp for destroying enemy value to both attacker and defender. Then offer some way for xp to be converted to value, either as resources, constructions or research.

That idea is ok as long as it is explicitly allowed for those galaxies to still attack with tagged planets. Otherwise we get back into the same enforcement problem created by "support planets"...

3 player BPs really screwed my round. I made a lot of crappy decisions on my own, but landing in a gal with nothing but n00b cats with 500 roids made it pretty hard to get a good start.

You have accurately described buddy packs. But my idea was to change that. See, you would form a buddy pack, then the shuffler would place two buddy packs in a galaxy and then add randoms.

Eliminate galaxies. Make clusters -2 eta for def. Only have 2 clusters.

Make it so you can only exile within the cluster you start in....

A lot of rules are broken, often. I agree with JBG; either hardcode it, or scrap the rule. I prefer hardcoding no def outside of alliance or cluster.

I guess I'm less concerned with stopping fortresses as I am with making sure we all get to play in one. It's kind of fun to be in a fortress, but it's fun to attack them too.

Removing exiling would leave good players in galaxies full of inactives. That leaves one good target standing above a galaxy that can't help him, and he gets roided all day long for xp.

Why? As it is now, there is still a separation between the top 20 or so galaxies and the rest. Those top galaxies never get incs, or only get them during block wars.
