I prefer multitargeting because it gives you more variety in fleet compositions.

You only need 3-4 ships for your fleet, rather than 6. 3-4 ships out of 7-9 gives you at least 2-3 unique, useable...

LordN: EMP tends to suck if caths don't have a way to at least kill something. As a rule of thumb, being able to kill 2 classes pretty well is a good thing, so they 'only' have to deal with EMPing 4....

My worry wasn't so much on the attack*, but the fleetcomp you can build with it. 70-80% of your value in CO and 20-30% in dragons makes for a very tough planet to hit.

IMO a planet NAP makes sense when you know you can't defend the target's roids (eg they're in a hostile gal). If they're a fat planet then a pNAP can be useful just to deny roids and XP...
