Re: Is scanning for someone unfair?

They have an advantage, yes. They do not have an unfair advantage. Huge difference.

Weren't you complaining about Descendancy for a week, claiming how it's only goal is to "help" Ascendancy,...

Re: Is scanning for someone unfair?

I'll give you one single, sublte hint. Football (most sports in general) is played by a fixed number of two squads. Planetarion is a Free For All war and diplomacy game which involves at least 10...

For God's sake, stop using completely absurd and illogical analogy with football, or any other sport.

Re: Is scanning for someone unfair?

Why would you ever want to say that?

You may as well attempt to make an arugment based on the question "what would happen if Jenova, CT, VGN, VsN, and eXilition support planets all joined the same...

Re: Is scanning for someone unfair?

Nothing would stop them and nothing should stop them - other than their own competence and effort, of course.

Making an efficient and working alliance of 50 people is difficult. With 70 it's...

Re: How many waves is enough?

Didn't we already have a thread like this once... or twice, or half a dozen times?

Yes, it's frustrating to be 10-waved to the stone age. This is a frustrating game. It's perfectly normal to be...

Re: Is scanning for someone unfair?

Wrong. Every alliance gets a set limit of people who can be in tag, and at the same time recieve all the benefits of being in the same tag (faster defense, scan database, contributing to alliance...

Re: Is scanning for someone unfair?

The multihunters limited alliance cooperation the moment OOGOOA rule thing was introduced, they just took it a step further every following round or two.

I don't think I can comment the event of...

Re: Cov Ops

This entire thread does. Unfortunately people in charge are unlikely to see it that way.

I expect more rules to patch the holes (and at the same time allow for new "exploits"), rather than the...

Or let's play with one club having $300 mil bankroll to buy any player they can imagine for the sole reason they have a rich Russian owner, and the other one having $10k, or nearing bankrupcy. Oh...

What you're saying, and what many people have a problem with, is that a player shouldn't be allowed to make or join the alliance he wants, attack targets he wants in any way that he wants, and for...

Yes and no.

There is a significant population of players (and whoever is in charge of general game development) who feel that everything which annoys, irritates, frustrates, stresses out, adds...

Re: Cov Ops

Such behaviour is only encouraged by adding more and more pointless rules each round, from the hardcoded alliance limit to the rules directing where your fleets can and where they can't go.

(hi...

Sharing targets and scans between cooperating alliances pretty much -defines- the term...

I find myself agreeing with wakey on this one.

What you need is a person with some level of knowledge and talent in actual game design, and what he would need is creative freedom for this game to...

Re: Rules enforcement

It is more an issue of actual rules than the individual cases. While the inconsistency with the cases is obvious, the rules which in essence rely on reading and second-guessing players' minds allows...
