There aren't that many launches each tick..
Not more then 3x the amount of planets.
Also: the planet dump used to be ~180K items anyway. This will be way smaller.

At the moment i'm working out some plans for a nice tool/expansion for my (in-galchannel) irc bot (eggdrop). In combination with mysql/tcl/mysqltcl. You can make a few really nice features with that...

I think this posibility *encourages* shipjumping for t10 etc players. They always stack resources, so they won't be hurt by this.

Though it should be visible on the guy you're defending's overview. Sending an attack, and letting someone else send def would be a normal, i mean very nasty, tactic..

imho, the purpose of an ingame alliance is just... simple tools.
I haven't yet been convinced of the other advantages forcing an ingame alliance has, above being able to tag & prevent in-ally...

I think the whole 72 HR waiting period is useless.
What you'd want, and what would give about the same result, is a minimum 72 Hrs after applying to the previous alliance, before joining the next.

hmm, a windows program.
Doesn't really fit with the ideas i have for a attackbot that would easily integrate into a website etc, but it is a nice way to make a bot with an easy interface.

A r8 cath could take on 2 same sized xan's, or 1 same sized terran.

To kill a ship, you need to destroy it's armor + it's electronics.
Both have some hitpoints.
