Woah celebdaq is still around .

I played it for about 5 weeks in a few leagues with friends etc then just got bored of it and slowly stopped looking at it. I presume my old account will still be there, i might revive it when i've finished my exams and try to make some millions again.

Create a new one. Bear in mind the game resets the millionaires back to £10,000 and the table is based on the percentage improvement, not total wealth. Hence the smaller your money, the higher your percentage when you get a good stock.

Before i attempt to add this, im going to ask you this once. Before i attempt to add this, is it completely genuine , no bullshit.

For if i receive the previously listed message about this account not existing, then this gimmick account BETTER be good.

This one is uber-predictable.

Buy shares in whoever you see on the front cover of the newspaper in the morning, and sell them 48 hours later.

And buying the stock at $2400 a share instead of the one at $4 a share when you only have $10,000 isnt market savvy.

Re: Celebdaq

So how often does the prices update? Once an hour? Immediately?

Kurashima 15 Jan 2004 08:58

Re: Celebdaq

Its a real-time update based on volume of publicity achieved during a 24hr period. Additionally, theres slight movement based on market forces.

Rusedski has nearly doubled in price since the news broke on Thursday last week he was involved in a drug scandal. Hes been front or back page news since, hence his price increase.

Sports pages don't count towards Divis though, only the news pages.

would it not be sensible if we all agreed to buy lots of certain stock at a certain time pushing the price up then other people will see it rise then we sell before it starts to drop again

No , because they ban you for that.

Sudden unexpected changes in the volume of a stock being bought tends to result in them checking whos buying and banning accounts if they find a connection.

I want to know at what time of day the different events occur, and how the "how long have you owned the stock" for dividents are calculated.

Its all in the FAQ. Basically , you require to hold a stock for 7 days, and if you have held that stock for that period, when the dividend pays (not sure which day of the week) you receieve a dividend based on the number of stocks you hold.

They're not illegal, as long as you don't have the same shares in them. That WOULD be cheating.

Keep in mind that I HAVE read and understood the FAQ, and then try to answer my questions in that light.
