Yeah fix the salvage, it's retarded that you lose value defending as a top planet if their is just a minor loss on defenders side, cuz of smaller planets leeching all salvage.

Bring back the old salvage formulae but nerf if for the t20 planets so they cant gain salvage from attacking ships.

I just Want a set a stats that ISNT Xan favored. Because those are the most boring rounds.

Fixing the salvage rule would be nice. It is almost impossible to be a top planet and defend.

I found it difficult to obtain defence fleets from fellow Ultores alliance mates (who were in a t3 galaxy) due to the new salvage rule.

Top planets are more reluctant to send defence.

which is obvious and not selfish. Attacker can see who is defending and people who may have slightly given up on a round could crash if it take a top player out the equation


I dont think there will ever be a solution, cos if you take it away again then we go back to salvage donation time - and i dont believe the pa team have enough time or care anymore to look deeply into it

There more mum's with plasters than doctors or surgeons these days

Would not be fair as XP players could be t20 too and planets would hide value/score to avoid getting into t20. Plus, I believe it would take too much to implement

Santa was like 80th before he proded his cash. He also xp'd about 300k score the tick he donated to himself.

if you haven't already seen they've made it ST and made fr/de unplayable as an alliance strategy by only incorporating 3 ships to the roid class...for those of you who are mathematically challenged...out of the 6 possible classes that target fr/de each race on its own can cover 50% where as if you were to go fi/co or cr/bs you have a min of 66% coverage using your off-class ship to boost to 75%.

my solution is to either add another fr/de class ship to every race that requires it, or change one or more of the fr/de class races to a fi/co one to make fi/co worthwhile.

else you're going to have a bs/cr round

Wrong.

DE atleast is fully playable at the moment. And it's boring with alliances only having 1 shipclass they hit with. More interesting with all different classes flying around.

I think those stats looks fairly okay targetting-wise. From a quick look at them I'd say that fi/co and cr fleets will be very popular.

The FR and BS fleets are probably the weakest.

Yeah they are a bit defensive for a ST round but as it's ST it will hopefully be okay.

I'd Like to see less than 9 ships that target Fr. Each race has 2 ships that target fr that just seems like over kill.

cept for etd, which only got 1, a late eta one even, still I agree, it always ends with DE/FR being mass targeted due to their natural position in the middle of the targeting range.

I wouldn´t mind a complete rewrite on that account also - i.e 2 races which had fi/co only as fr/de targeters - and 3 races with De/fr as fr/de targeters, and yea just one ship for each class.

would perhaps bring some diversity into the usual - go cr/bs - or fi/co

Hi all, sorry for the delay. Santa and I (who are indeed doing the stats) have been 'missing' each other the past few days.

Yes, these are the stats. Please note that only targeting and initiative have been entered - the other stats will follow tonight or tomorrow. Use common sense to estimate what they're going to end up like - but don't hold us to anything. :)

Any feedback is welcome, such as Fr being 'over targeted'. I think they're strong regardless as they can hit anything together, but reducing it by one or two anti-ships might give a better feel to it.
Myself, I think De is the weakest of all (attack) classes at the moment. Anyone sees any small changes that would improve De?

have pulsar fire after xan de and zik de,

remove either locust or centaur.

if you remove locust then have syren fire after xan de. that should improve them

Or leave locust and centaur and have revs fire at fr instead. Possibly a better solution as they are firing a class that doesnt target them atm.

Syren -> Init 7
Pulsar -> init 5

Centaur D/c -> 340 A/c -> 490
Smuggler D/c -> 470 A/c -> 440
Locust -> D/c 370 A/c - 440

I think that would make De playable yet not Overpowered since Co def fires after Zik but same as Xan. And Cr def fires after but should have a higher eff than shadow.
Fr def is weak but will get to fire 1st. So De<Fr De>Co De(mass)>Cr


But Fr is Weak thers just too many ships that target it. Fi/Co/De/Cr/Bs all Target Fr. That makes Ter/Etd Almost entirely unplayable since Fr cant really attack. You need to either consolidate some of those to 3 classes or make Fr just Super high eff's. And we all know which is more balanced.


Xan Fi is good because Xan de free Fires unless they have pulsar and with ingal rogues its a good cover. But the problem i see is that there are only 2 ships that can ally def vs Fi 1 emp(attack fleet) and 1 steal(def fleet) I Think you'd be better off switching some of fr targeters to fi targets like Nix at same init.

I havent had time to look at Cr/bs yet but Those are the changes i would make right now. If the stats stay the same im afraid that it will be another Xan fi + cr/bs round since Fr is unplayable and De is defensive at best.

Pat and i spoke today on how to improve De.
However keep in mind these stats are setup so that you need a team to attack. (in most cases) like ter fr with etd fr or xan de with zik de. this was done to limit solo counters on every race, yet leave "openings" for each race. i mean this. If you are being attacked by someone you can't automatically counter them and be able to land. You still need a team mate. Some races you can solo counter on. (sorry i suck at explaining lol)
A major problem with st rounds is when you attack you get solo'd. Yes that makes is fun. If we control this, we can make the whole st round more enjoyable (or at least thats what we believe)
Every alliance is going to pick a strat anyways, so you will be teaming regardless.

sorry havent had time to look in detail in stats yet but a few things immediately jump out:

zik has no fi steal ship and 2 bs steal ships

eta has 1 norm, 1 cloak, 3 emp, 3 steal - imo too many emp/steal for an etd

spirit looks like a waste of time

de attack fleets look very weak

thats it for now.

Etd can indeed be very powerful in that they can steal ships in both their attackfleets.

i have to say i dont see how these stats do that. for example, xan fi can easily solo both ter and xan and there are only 2 ships that can make fico eta in ally, one of which is a stealer.

In my opinion stats should never be "setup so that you need a team to attack". We should be encouraging new players (who are less likely to find team up partners) not discouraging them by making sure they have no chance of defending themselves against (possibly massive) incs.

Team up attacks are also "bad" for more experienced players. They effectively reduce the roid cap for each attacker and (overall) make it easier for alliances to defend against them.

if/when your teamup is easier to def against than your solo you are doing it WRONG

It's not easier when taken individually - but it's easier to cover one 5-man teamup than it is to cover 5 (good) solos.

whether or not these stats are supposed to stop solos is irrelevant, they do not in any way stop soloing. infact, i havent seen stats in which it is so easy to solo in awhile.
