time for this old man to retire

I guess its time for me to hang up the skates.

I been playin this game a very long long time, even my friends are like "man are u still playing that game?" makes me chuckle really. Much like many of my fellow gal m8's from rnd 10.5 im retiring. Been playing with this idea of retiring from pa since the end of rnd 10.5 i kept juggling back and forth with the idea. One minute i wanted to play the next i didn't. Should have clued off right away that it was starting to get "bleh" or however u wish to describe it. Wasn't gonna play until A2 waved a free account at me :p.

Over the years, yes i say years i dont refer to rnds anymore, i been to many allies, done alot of things im not proud off, pissed many people off, laughed, cryed, roided, etc. Let's see what allies have i been too for even a brief moment in time SDO, SDI, Nemesis, Asylum, Xanadu/Redbull, ViruS, Vision, Eclipse, MISTU and yes for 2 days 1UP. The longest place i ever stayed was ViruS ofc. What a great place so many funny and humerous people, the stuff we would talk about in the private channels could be found in most porn movies or anything homosexual i guess :P ViruS was the place that let me take my game to a new level and branch off from my previous dependnce on my best m8 in the game. SDO/SDI was another found memory there is only 2 current people left playin the game from that myself, which is now gone, and Lord_Dain. Right up there is MISTU, man i loved MISTU rnd 10.5 we where a relavtively small group and new each other pretty closely and often refered to each other in a first name basis.

My best achievement in PA would have to be rnd 10.5 where i finished 7th and was the GC of the #1 gal. Was pretty damn cool to be oped in #planetarion, soo many people i wanted to kick ;) But you know after we won it wasnt what i expected really. Been playing this game since rnd 2 and was after 1 goal. When i reached that goal is was like literally "heh" it meant nothing really when the dust settled and i really had a good thought about it. I dunno the reason for this but it really bothered me.

No Particular Order... :P

Lord_Dain: My best m8 ever in pa, the guy that taught me how to play pa and all sorts of other things i owe everything to this man. Took me in as a young highschool boy, n00b with dialup and has stuck with me to a young university student, n00b on cable :p I know we have had are fights every so often but in the end its water under the bridge. I'm sure we all have this one particular person that is special to us in this game, it's kinda hard to explain how much respect u can have for someone u have never physically met in real life. Don't have much else to say, thanks for everything see yah on msn.

Aaranaf: Greece > Turkey. Who won Euro 2004? Thats right say it GGGGRRRREEEEEEEECCCCEEEE. We live pretty close to each other eh. We have stuck together for awhile since ViruS and we won last rnd ;) =V= fly the =V= You will always be my inactive canadian friend :P

zmeu: My crazy romanian buddy, you have always been abit of a mystery to me but its was great playing with you and dont have too much fun with my D2 CD key

[ViruS]Adam: we had are good times in ViruS never got to know u too well until last rnd where we kicked arse, was great playing with you and get some sleep ffs

Waffle: God Damn Waffle! add pretty much anything in front of waffle and im sure i said it to u man :P It was great playing with you last rnd you really are a cool guy just people dont give u a chance. I tryed to whip u into some sorta shape but everytime i failed and also u suicide to much. Quote just before the end of rnd 10.5 "Kefalos: i don't want any of you to launch an attack waffle: I just launched an attack Kefalos: are you stupid? waffle: no just dumb (edited :P) Kefalos: if u die i will hunt you down and kill you Waffle: i wont i wont......near the final ticks waffle: i got owned in my attack Kefalos: your a dead man

Sonny: You are one of the smartest guys i have ever seen play pa, you are like a PA Wiseman was great playing with you last rnd

Saiyan: Farmer joe, i know you farmed your ass off in SS :P was great playing with you for all those rnds and espically last rnd, you are an excellent player

Yogibear: Your nothing what i though u would be like when we played together last rnd it was great, you really are a excellent player

[Dreamy]: I owned you as always just liked i owned u by one rank last rnd...hehe newb forgot to order your ships in time :P we have always had a competitive attitude with each other and its been great best of luck with whatever you do

Motanu/ThunderCat: Your a good guy my friend its been fun playing with you although i think u stalk me online :/

Skruer/Kakefisk/Etc: the man with many nicks, too many to count we played a rnd of pia together once and we have been friends since you rock man take it easy

Sirad: You are a pedophile, forever shall i remeber your planet name in our gal that rnd "The Predator of Little Girls", it was fun talkin to u man and i will see yah on msn

RealJames: The man as hard as rock but inside hes a little softy :p shh i gave away his secret. You are a great military mind and a great leader Jim it was an honor to play with you last rnd

Adastra: it was always fun to play with you last rnd, the many little fights we had :P man it was funny, the tools and time you put into MISTU are amazing i have always appreciated it dont forget it :)

Rimmerz: we still have to play NHL 2004 ffs and man i guess i was a good draft pick last rnd for officer :P maybe even a danny heatly :o

To anyone i forgot sorry, i love you etc.

Its 3 am and im too lazy to read over what i just wrote i hope its nothing that bad. Good bye my friends and God bless.

Kefalos

It's another black armband day for PA. This isn't totally unexpected, I got the impression that your recent return was out of boredom, not conviction, so as such I thought this sort of thread was a matter of time, sadly.

It was really good working with you in MISTU Tony, you had my upmost respect as a person and a DO, it's a shame for the game and MISTU to lose your skill, and for myself a friend.

Oh, and shush about me being nice, everyone knows I'm not.

Cya kefalos. My R7 Galm8... I remember me trying to get your prom date phone number to ask her out, because you didn't knew for sure if you where gonna ask her :)

Cya next round, you will be back, like all of us.
And indeed, after playing so long, you think finishing #1 is much cooler then it is afterall... But let's not spoil most people's dream ;)

Kefalos, or better, Tony,

You give me way too much honor mate, really.. but I guess we have had a lot of good (and some bad) times during these years, not just in PA, but also in regards to long serious talks on IRC and MSN, about RL issues, girls, women, studying, working.. LIFE!!!

Our Planetarion history goes back to R4, when I met you being a total noob -both of us I mean - hahaha. From that point on we had a lot of fun on the same sides (SDO/SDI/Nemesis, those were good times m8, I still have our old SDO site up at the following URL http://members.rott.chello.nl/mshozee/sdi/indexnew.html ) and later on we fought on the opposite sites, too many times in my opinion (damn you mate!!!) but after all these rounds I can truely say you are also my longest playing and best friend I have met in this game.

I will never forget the 'good times' and fun we had together, SDI FOREVER!

Good luck to all you do and don't forget to say hi on MSN

Re: time for this old man to retire

After your dropping out in pia a few rounds back, I thought we were done for in PA last round when I reliased you were creating the galaxy.
But you certainly proved your worth, and deserve the credit of your rank and position last round.

I think I have posted on these forums about 5 times in 4 years, feel honoured, etc :P

The little stunt you pulled quickly afterwards in pia taking down your galaxy left a bitter taste in many people's mouths, but I think we could put that down as nothing more than a small blemish on a solid career in this game.
It is always a shame when veterans hang up their hats, but it's bound to happen sooner or later, and we all knew this was on the cards.

Who knows, maybe Spinner will wake up to himself and bring back privates, and allow real groups of friends to play together, which is the most important aspect of this game. I'll then pull you out of retirement to defend our crown :P

Cordially,
Sonny.

Time to post a real reply :p

It was tons of fun playing with you last round. You were an ok Galaxy Commander, but we really didn't have much choice. Yogibear was better leader than you were, but we still won, so i guess you did ok.

I will miss the times when i can randomly message you on msn or steam(i lost your email :() - and miss the times where you always cursed at me on irc. I will miss the times when i go make a fool of myself in public channels of big name alliances.

All in all, i'm going to miss you buddy. If there is ever a round of planetarion that you decide to play, and has privates, message me if you want me in it. You know i'm uber active, i just have bad luck i guess. :p.

One more thing - i'm really glad you decided not to play for 1up. :p. I wish you were there when i was, and more of my old galaxy m8s that are 1up were ACTUALLY THERE. You inactive poons.

This is waffle - signing off. Don't forget me in your will!!!!!!
