Three random "who in their right mind?" thoughts

Who in their right mind
  • Watches NASCAR
  • Texts into the Big Brother "memory" game they have on at the bottom of the screen during live shows
  • Names their son after themselves

oh tell me why etc

Matrim 8 Jul 2003 01:48

NASCAR is always taking a beating and I think it's great.

ad 1. Whats NASCAR? Another American sport the rest of the world isnt interested in I presume?

ad 2. On behalf of my country I apologize profusely for Big Brother :/

ad 3. I might, in one of the christian names. After all, it is a bit like signing your work isnt it ;)

HAL-9000 8 Jul 2003 10:15

I plan on naming my son after my dog - Indianna Jones had a profound effect on me :-/

Did we (the Dutch) actually invent Big Brother? I thought we copied it from some American concept?

Yep, it's a Dutch invention.

In the credits of Big Brother UK it says "Licensed by Endemol Int. The Netherlands" or something like that.

So don't try to pawn it off as an American invention :p

HAL-9000 8 Jul 2003 10:24

Hell sometimes even America is pawned off as an American invention! They try to steal everything these days :/

1) NASCAR - isnt that just racing around the test circuit in Gran Tourismo?
2) Those messages are all made up
3) I called my kid Junior so the kids could call him CeeJoo. ;)

RR_0 can probably categorically state that I do.

Radical Edward 8 Jul 2003 11:53

"Knows" intentionally had a capital.

KaneED 8 Jul 2003 12:47

seventh 8 Jul 2003 13:17

nascar is cool cos they hit the walls very quickly

big brother is wank

i totally agree with you, who would give birth to kaneed

KaneED 8 Jul 2003 13:18

:/

Deffeh 8 Jul 2003 13:40

no offence, but if i was to call my kid after myself, its like paying myself a tribute. Pat yourself on the back why dont you

I like the idea of naming the child after someone higher up the family tree though.

I am the 7th or 8th Robbie in my family tree, my dad told me a long time ago. And theres quite a few John's as well (my brother).

Dead_Meat 8 Jul 2003 14:07

What's with calling your son by the same name, then adding the number of times your unoriginal family has used it?

Surely,

John Smith Jr III == "Oh look, our family hasn't been able to think of a new name for their sons for at least four generations and to show everyone how retarded we are, I've got this stupid 'Jr' and 'III' to prove it"

MrL_JaKiri 8 Jul 2003 14:37

Nigel Lawson would.

Pity it was a girl, really.
