Muzzza, Ste, Tomkat, others... they're whiny and entitled. They took what was a fun place after GD died and turned it into an atmosphere of general hostility and smugness.

I wish I'd never started PlasticBrilliance / FoxyStoat - people might have hung out here for longer, where it was good.

Nope, San Diego. Moved down here a couple of months ago as my fiance transferred from SFO tower to SoCal TRACON. Landed myself a nice little job at Rockstar (which basically means I get to sit and play video games for a living) and we just bought a house in Carlsbad. It's been a busy year since we last spoke!

Are you still with the cloud discovery guys downtown?

I thought you were an IT/ops person? Are you game testing? I work for a YC startup called Leftronic now. It's tiny, but we're growing.

I'm still in ops, mainly looking after the global infrastructure side of things as we have dedicated support for folk at each studio to handle day-to-day stuff. We just help out with load testing / bug hunting when we get spare time. I don't think I could handle full-time game testing, but it serves as a nice distraction when you've spent all day scouring through packet captures or staring at Visio.

Leftronic is definitely not the next big thing. It's a tiny business that may grow big enough to support us someday. I'd rather be at a small company than a giant corp.

I'm pretty excited about the next GTA even though I do not have any time whatesoever to play it. I never even finished Skyrim. :(
