Why phones with lots of space are bad

Bah, I do this with my emails too (except it's not so much of a problem).
I realised the other day I hadn't deleted any txts for ages - a quick investigation showed I have 243 of the buggers, the earliest dated 28th Dec 2003! Also, my phone is shit so I can only delete them all, or one at a time - as I have a couple with some important info in this now means half an hour of "down, options, delete, yes; down, options, delete, yes...". Oh what fun.

Things like that should be controllable via a link to a PC.

My phone gets full after 10 messages.

I am so lucky!

I don't think my phone can do 10. It's actually pretty annoying.

I have another phone which I can then can store 100-200, but the battery life is too shit to bother with.

Re: Why phones with lots of space are bad

I can store 60
I delete pointless ones as soon as I get them.
my phone is almost permanently on 90%+ full
I have messages dating back to september... on my old one I have ones dating back to 2001...
It's interesting reading through old messages.

Re: Why phones with lots of space are bad

When you get one you plan on keeping save it in another folder? archive?

Then you can delete all of the "inbox" quite readilly when required to do so plus you can find that important info faster.

I can do this on my Nokia...

Telephones are meant for analog communication.
Use e-mail for your digital needs.

If you ahve something valuable in a text message, WHY NOT MAKE A ****ING NOTE OF IT RETARD?

Yeh... that number was from my ancient Swing200... it was so big, you needed a trolley to take it with you.
And it could only save 5 texts and only had capital letters.
Those bastards at KPN locked me off when I hadn't upgraded my credit for half a year. I never bothered getting a new phone.

Oh well... I guess I don't need to be "mobile". If someone wants to reach me they can call me at home or send me an e-mail.

I have the same problem, it's bloody annoying.

Well you can go "Delete All", but there are some texts I want to delete. So I periodically delete all of my Outbox - which saves every text I send, but my inbox gradually fills up and I have to spend 30 minutes or so clearing it out.

Big phones make us cool though, never forget that.

Same here. If fact after every weekend I delete all my txt messages, and call logs and timers. It`s a good way of recounting what happened after a weekend, and not getting one weekend mix up with another :-)
