Is it possible to kill a man with an ice bullet?
 

I've been reading this website talking about an assasin using an ice bullet to leave no trace.

I've been looking into it and i think its possible, but i want to know what you think

assuming the ice survives both the initial acceleration and the impact, then yes it could.

yes it is possible - they did a test on a mock human [fake skin etc] and it was able to do enough damage to result in death

Forget an ice bullet an even more untraceable method of assination would be sending Koen to have a conversation with someone. Within 5 minutes most people would be dead, apparantly from natural causes. 5 minutes of "hockey hockey hockey guppies guppies guppies" is enough for most people to lose the will to live.

google informs me that mythbusters attempte to shoot ice bullets and failed, the heat produced by shooting was too much. 'Fans of the show' are divided over whether an air-powered rifle might be more successful: some believe that the friction of the bullet through the barrel would be sufficient to melt it, while others think that it wouldn't.

Isn't the internet wonderful?

If all else fails, turn to Mythbusters...perhaps we should submit the plane on treadmill query to them...

I did quite thoroughly enjoy the episode they tried to prove if dynamite would break free cement that had dried inside a cement mixer truck...the ending of the episode they ended up putting enough explosives in it to make sure the only thing left was part of the frame.

Edit: There was no trace of cement left though.
