Would you (or have already) have sex with someone you aren't attracted to?

Alright if she's a minger, then probably not, but if she's not ugly, even though you don't fancy her, then a shag's a shag... Am I right?

[23:52] <Henry> im not going to have sex with someone if im not attracted to them

(girls this applys to you as well obviously)

Deepflow 27 Jun 2004 23:58

Re: Would you (or have already) have sex with someone you aren't attracted to?

well it depends what you mean by 'am attracted to'

im gonna cop out on this and say that my level of 'am attracted to' extends up to and only people i want to sleep with.

Yeah, for me being attracted to=wanting to sleep with.

Re: Would you (or have already) have sex with someone you aren't attracted to?

I've shagged a minger before. A fat minger. she was ok in the personality sense, I think. apparently my mate was trying to tell me how bad she was... I was hammered, didn't realise til next morning.

Oh and I've slept with people who I was attracted to once but then after a while realised I didn't really like them but slept with them anyway cos I was horny...

Although i think of it as glorified masturbation...

No

The concept of a ****buddy is fun for a while, but the attraction wears thin after too long.

Re: Would you (or have already) have sex with someone you aren't attracted to?

There's women I literally despise out there, but given the opportunity to give em a good ****ing I prolly would.

So a shag's a shag right?

Re: Would you (or have already) have sex with someone you aren't attracted to?

ive never slept with someone i wasnt attracted too.

but then im so damn good looking i can pick and choose at my fancy

i might even change my forum name to "heffner"

p.s. no really i am (!!!)
p.p.s.

Henry does "sleep with" her just not in the sex sense. he sleesp in the same bed and accepts gifts from her.
"Leading her on" springs to mind.

Dante Hicks 28 Jun 2004 00:03

Re: Would you (or have already) have sex with someone you aren't attracted to?

There's different types of attraction.

As you say, there's mingers who are obviously discounted immediately.

There are people who you can sort of tell look attractive but you don't personally find them all that. Generally speaking, I would. It depends though. If they're going to be the sort of person who you fall into a relationship with then definitely not. Better to sit at home and have a wank over internet porn.

Who was it that quoted the Ladder theory a few months back?
Think I'll go dig out the link...

EDIT http://intellectualwhores.com/masterladder.html

I think that explains why men shag anything sometimes...
Great link

Kura is there any women who you've utterly despised in the sense of attitude, how they react to you etc?

And would you **** em if you got the opportunity?

I know there's women I would.

My last 2 (and the current one) i am very attracted to, and i wouldnt have slept with them if i hadnt been. One of them is a very flexible (and i mean that in every sense) ex of mine, and the other is one of her very easy mates (you buy the drinks, she provides you some late night entertainment. Its a very civilised version of Prostitution TBH , but she provides Bed and Breakfast)

Realistically, who wouldn't?

Parallel question : Let's say you can rate women objectively (in terms of how attractive you find them). 0 - 100. 0 being vomit inducing. 100 being a goddess. 50 (say, it doesn't matter particuarly) is your cut-off for those you'd sleep with (and still be able to enjoy it and or get it up).

Is it better to invest time in trying to screw a "dead cert" who is rated, say, 60 or an outside chance (but still vaguely possible) who is 80-90? Let's presume for the sake of argument you can't try both.

The concept here is physical attraction. I do have a number of women i know who i despise for their "Look at ME , im Blonde and have big tits, and if you dont worship the ground in front of me, ill treat you like you dont exist". That kind of person i have a natural desire to redesign their very expensive dental work with a brick. (amusing sideline : Guy in the pub on Saturday i was talking to owns the Trafford Centre, and is worth about £600 million (we do his accounts) , and I mentioned it as a windup to him. The Blonde at the bar behind me was into him 30 seconds later, and hung around like a bad smell until we left, not even glancing at me or acknowledging my existence, butting into conversations, pawing at him, laughing at jokes he knew were ****ing terrible, etc etc. Suffice to say hes told me never to mention it again). People like that should be taken out back and punched repeatedly in the face until they look like something ive scraped off my shoe.

However i would still **** them if i could make sure it was as unpleasant as possible for the individual in question.

If it's just sex your after, then I don't think it really matters, anything around 50 and above would do. Obviously if your looking for a relationship it moves on from a purely physical attraction to a deeper level of being attracted to her sense of humour and what she thinks etc etc.

I'm not embarassed to admit to shagging birds who'd score around the 25 - 30 range though :o

Personally I'd try after the outside chance for a certain limited amount of time and then depending on my state after that period had elapsed either pursue her further, or change direction and go after the dead cert.

Dace stole my Schtick , ive long since lost the will to try and wrest it back.

Editors Note : £600M might sound like a shitload of money, but when everyone you know has money, you get really ****ing blase about it, and you stop thinking of it as a big thing. This island is a real ****ing culture shock sometimes when you try and relate it to going down your local in Motherwell, where half the drinkers are alcoholics and a good portion are out of work.

One day, ill actually realise how much these people are worth, and turn around and say "**** me, why isnt Naomi Campbell down there sucking your cock", but for the moment, it doesnt bother me. At the end of the day, we both go into the pub with £50-£100 in the wallet and we both come out with similar amounts.

No, I would not sleep with anyone I was not attracted to, in the fullest sense of the word. That would be hedonistic, egotistic and selfish.
Call me a prude, but I'll wait until I'm married.

That's got nothing to do with being attracted with someone though. Or could you only be attracted to someone you enjoyed a legal relationship with?

While I appreciate what you're saying, surely it's preferable to have sex with a more attractive woman compared to a less attractive woman?

As someone has mentioned, Ladder Theory anyone?

I had the oppertunity this weekend to bone a girl I found unattractive. She was verging on a minger so Im not sure what category she falls into.
Anyway, the drunker I got the more I was thinking "would I be able to if she wanted it",in the end I decided that I found her so unattractive that I couldnt do it. Hence her slotting into the minger category.

Though, if they were ok looking and I just didnt 'do' anything for me then I might. So long as there was nothing about them that put me off.

*shrug*

If its something you both want how can it be egotistic and selfish?

If you are sleeping wth someone you have misled that is different but simply you are using each other, whether that is for sex or for the security that sexual encounters provide (for some people anyway). A the end of the day you are using each other as a means to an end. No different with any other area of life. People spend years attaining things they do not yet possess.

The other flip of the coin is that relationships blossom on the back of decent sex. Who is to say that the experience gathered does not help you in future and decent sexual experiences cannot lead to meaningful and fulfilling relationships. It may start shallow, but doe not mean that it will not become fullfilling later on.

The technical term is Mercy Shag.
And no, although are we counting someone we found attractive after drinking in excess and then waking up the next morning to realise your mistake?
