Add a fourth fleet slot?
 

Occured to me, this may spark some fun

Often I've got FI/co/fr/bs as my build, and often left with just fr in base

The fourth slot could be specifically and only for alliance defence fleet,

Giving you either another 3 defence fleets or another 3 attack fleets

Having a dedicated AF slot would probably make more people use AF as some don't currently

And give some folks the option of 3 fleet attacking


Thoughts? Is it even doable

Could just add a 4th fleet slot for fun, see how it works,

Or make it researchable at the end of the TT tree

the problems that would cause and the work involved, i don't see the point, 3 has been enough for 19 years.

Interesting idea! I'm not really sure what the effects would be, and it seems pretty simple to implement. I like it.

In no way that the stats or race properties cannot compensate for.

I would rather see the 4th slot dedicated to ingal only. Good members 3 fleet inside the tag. Also would have less effect on rewarding activity, which is good, but most struggle with time as it is.

Helps gals to co-operate, wont bring unbalance to tag play.

What I have been missing more than a 4th slot is two bases.
One that always hides and one that always fights.
It has often annoyed me that I do not have a free slot to fight with some of my ships at home while hiding others.
