It's not the most pressing issue in the world I admit, but this irritates me. Why in Gods name is there such a low limit for password length?

Its a bit unusual, but surely 10 characters is enough?

it's something we're looking to changing (and have been for the last round or two), but as mentioned it's not a priority and so keeps being overlooked.
we'll try and squeeze it in for next round.

Fair enough. But surely it's not a massive task? Just changing a digit here and there?
