Alex Gopher - "Gordini Mix" / Air - "Brakes On Mix"
 

This song - i think called 'brakes on mix' by Air off the album by Alex Gopher known as 'Gordini Mix'.

a/ its excellent

b/ i am 90% confident it uses samples from a Beatles track* - but i dont know which one and its annoying me.


How would i go about finding out? Anyone got any sites that are good for the genesis of music?











* - The only lyrics in the song are an old 60's style radio announcement saying something along the lines of :

"And it shall occur, not in New York, not in London, not in L.A, but in the North of England, on the banks of the Mersey. Beatlemania has arrived."

Some beatles style ooh-ahh harmony follows but i dont know if its the beatles, or beatles-style.

I transcribed it as best as I could make out:

"and it occured, not in los angeles, new york, nor in london, but in the north of england, on the banks of the river mersey at liverpool. it spread ... and finally it ... the whole international scene. Beatlemania had arrived, and the mersey group was ..."

as for the beatles thing i'd say that would be very hard to pin point, the best you could hope for would be to check the CD cover for credits etc since they would have had to clear any samples used. CD Now Link

i dont own it and im not paying $20 for it.

Also this is 2007. Why the **** isnt this information available online
