People were asking for it to be closed as it was degenerating into a slanging match. I've no problem with people criticising any decision I make, but they can do it without resorting to abuse of me, members of PA Team or other members of the forums.

As for my call to remove you from PA Team, I stand by that and I think the way PA Team has moved on and become a much more productive and generally nicer place to be has fully justified the decision.

ok i will make the argument i made in PM to you here aswell
untill now PAteam has handled Porn banners and other unwanted banners with a warning and removal and when someone got 3 warnings they would be closed on the 4th offence

you now punished someone for the same offence with closure on the first offence

if you wanne change the way you handle pornbanners, fine with me , i am totaly with you on that one, but you should in all honesty let people know you change a rule before acting on it

so this is what i would like to ask from you
reopen the offender in this case and let him play on
then anounce you are gonna crack down on galbanners that are unwanted
this would be fair!

the way you acted now is like changing the law, if you run a redlight and get 5 years in jail instead of a ticket and THEN they anounce its a new punishment your gonna object i guess.

i agree with jerome and think planet deletions should be reserved for cheaters and those who break the EULA intentionally and multiple times to provoke the PA -team or whatever. What's done is done and at least an example has been set and ppl will be more carefully while selecting galaxy pics.

I am not sure what robban tries proof with his posts are what he tries to reach. You dont support Wishmaster and with the way of your "argumentation" you wont make friends over here.

I just did a bit of legal digging. Technically Wishmaster could sue Jolt.

There is a legal statement that says that if you knowingly look at child pron you are proscecutable and that wanting to see if it was illegal is not a valid defence.

I dont have source at the moment not in work but will post up at later stage.

any judge would throw such a case out. you cant sue police investigators who look at a child porn website as part of an investigation to shut it down.
through similar reasoning you cant sue someone who protects their game by removing material and users which breaks game rules

Phil its true what you say, but police investigators who pro-actively look for child porn have certain ussage policies they need to sign before doing so.

I got that information from my gf who works in an abuse dept for an isp. She had to sign a special usage agreement as she does have to look at possible child porn cases.

if i remmember correctly in the ealier rounds people were always being closed for this offence, people then feared doing it. What ever happend to the rounds where people respected this and made great banners? Where people wouldnt be so pathetic to actually put stupid banners up like porn ones? You are so absolutely not the first one who has been closed for this sort of offense. The fact that you had a decent planet doesnt alter the fact that you lack the ability to define reasoning.

If anything you should be banned for posting a pic that was funny a year ago, and on top of all altered to show a coupple ****ing on TV instead of the random image of someones face.

Can you answer yes or no without roam about on a quest for definition. Contex doesnt alter facts.

Well, I've just seen the pic.

Whoever done that is ****ing useless at Photoshop. There's no scan flicker on the TV set, there's no reflection on the set, no dulling of the image due to angle.

my account was closed for a galpic without any warning at all last round. it was reopened afterwards though but I was closed for several days while beeing on a trip

rather amused by this.
when i saw at first time the topic regarding closement i was more like WTF?
i havent played this game in ages one of the first things i noticed was like.. what small the pictures and where did they go. In the 'old (&good?)' rounds i used to go through gallaxys to look for gall pics and have a nice laughter. some were offensive yes for sure though mine were nothing else and i got told a few times to change it. Yet now a days apperently the developers seem to loose what this game is about, its about fun.. its about being relaxed.. being capable to understand others.
It is sure that you should follow the rules in some order of extend yet its choosen to close the planet. basicly the maximum penalty possible there could ahve been chosen for like 24 ticks no resources what so ever. so basicly posting a 'bad' gall pic is so enough to get deleted. i find this all rather hypocriet certainly in what extend you level photoshopped pictures down to kiddo-porn.
just for your knowledge in the US right now regulations are that photo's have to be 'logged' because they get photoshopped to make the girls look younger. I think everyone with a healthy pair of brains can see the difference between kiddo-porn, porn or just a joke. Also i think everyone should be capable to figure out what an appropiate punishment is. If not you should really question your own position and what you contribute to the game. admins are there to regulate, to make a game better and not to down-grade the game. I feel rather ashamed of what planetarion has become :(

What are you on about? No offence to you but how can you blaim the admins for somone to think that picture was funny? As i stated above in the old days you used to have great graphic banners, which people took honour and pride in creating. VtS Banners, ViruS banners, ToT banners, Fury banners.. even LDK and Titan banners.. and now these days i see that banner. I dont find that funny i find it pathetic and i beleive the admins did the right thing. And as far as your last line 'I feel rather ashamed of what planetarion has become' im more ashamed of what the community has become to defend this guy.


This game did used to be full of laughter and fun your right, but it also was full of respect for the admins and the rules. That seems to have bin lost as well as this laughter.
