Using DCC etc on a network
 
Because it's based around IP's, it obviously doesn't work as the ip of the system sending isn't the IP that the receiver is receving from, so it gets all confuzzled.

Would forcing the IP of the cimp to be the same as the overall network IP work, or is there something better/more correct to do?

i thought changing to passive mode worked but never use dcc on a network on not sure

cant you just route the port to the correct internal IP ?

Yes (or use a gateway that does this automatically), but your IRC client also has to send your external IP when DCC'ing, which I think mIRC can do automatically to some extent. Haven't used it though.
