London Colleges

Guys

Any idea's about colleges, preferably in the south east of London, who provide evening or weekend based A Level courses? More specifically, Physics AS.

I've looked at Bromley College and Orpington College, but they just do full time and I'm working. Also tried Open University, but they don't do AS Levels, just HND or above :(

Helpy.

Ta.

Croydon College is apparently pretty good...

Nope, just full time courses.

Ok. So I appreciate that there will be a requirement for experiments and practical lessons, but surely somewhere must do this on a weekend or evening.

Um, because as far as I'm aware I need an A-Level to get onto an HNC. Will check though.

Either way, thoughts of progression (for something to do in spare time...)

A Level Physics --> A Level Mathematics --> OU Degree in Physics --> Possibly OU Degree in Mathematics --> Masters then PhD in Physics or similar discipline.

I know for the OU ones I'm going to need to do the pre-requisites, but this is just a basic outline plan at the moment.

Birkbeck do part-time courses, although I'm not sure if they do A-Level.

one of our engineers is doing a part time course at Lewisham college...
And one of our supervisors did a part-time degree at Southbank Uni...
