Fake Attacks
 
Make fake attacks recall at eta 2, same as fake defence.

To bring balance, if fake defence recalls eta 2 why doesn't fake attacks?

It would also discourage escorting to some degree and encourage anyone escorting to use real attacks and be online to recall.

In addition to that I suggest pre-launch to be removed in order to force people to send attacks earlier and to reward the more actives willing to stay awake to launch.

It will bring more balance to the game and quality to the wars putting not that active and defense focused alliances closer to the more active ones (which mostly use pre-launch too).

This change can also increase our sleep hours. As most here are in their 30s or older, it wont be much before our body starts charging the cost of so many sleepless nights.

Good thing a change is coming - it was so horrible this round and the last where someone managed to find some kind of "new" way to play.

Much better now that we are back to value play style again :p

You can still do the same you just have to log on and recall manually to get the advantage

We should really have fake attacks recall once it ticks to eta4. That way defence have 4 ticks to recalc, asses and maybe start recalling.

It is best for PA that it requires players to have to be online at vital moments as often as possible, this is what draws and keeps a player base growing and motivated.

I fully endorce any and all change that benefits the few who wish to dedicate almost every minute awake to tend to their planet. As I believe any decent rank should come only from;

- being a long time player in a good alliance
- having many relations, friends and helpers
- having said helpers feed intel,
- having at some or many occations said helpers DC your planet
- at some occations being backed by a full alliance flagshipping you by either hitting your competition or sacrificing planet to save your planet
- most commonly being in a good galaxy that protect you by doing the above
- using said relations to achieve for shorter or some times up to a full round with PNAPS from the alliance(s) likely to roid you
- having some reliable attack partners to provide escorts when needed

I feel that most, if not all theese requirements should be in place to be crowned a top planet

I rather suspect you dont actually mean all this and have tongue firmly in your cheek. But taking it at face value Caj was asking for balance between fake attack and fake defence not for benefits for long term players. That means either both should recall at the change from eta 1-2 or both should go right to the point of attack at the change from eta 1-0. It is no surprise that he did not ask for the second as it provides a really big boost to defence.

I don't think fake attack recalling at eta 4 was on anyone's cards. That said being able to nominate the tick your fleet will recall in advance would be an interesting and potentially useful feature (both for fake attack and fake def), perhaps you meant that?

It seems reasonable to me that since automated faking takes less effort than launching and then recalling a real attack, automated fakes should not be as effective as 'manual' fakes. Recall all fake launches at eta 2 (that is, one hour before landing).

If the point is balance fakeattck and fakedef, change the fakedef!

Fakedef returning eta 1 is useless, changing the fakeattck to return eta 1 too will turn it useless too.

If the point is benefit the people who are more active and always online, why we dont change the Pl attcks too?

I can see only one real reason to this change: People are just trying to ruin the strategy who won the last round.

Pl attacks are already less effective than ordinary attacks.. First they give the planet a clue about their incs, then it allows to get prelaunched def if you have inc scan.

appo havent even updated ingame stats yet so dont expect much from the manual :P

Fake attacks now return a tick earlier.

I have had confirmation from Appoco that both fake attacks and fake defense will recall at eta 2 next round. That is, 1 hour before combat.
