Nagging over tiny things

(This post originally held the first two nitpicks. One has been resolved, the other someone disagreed with. I've therefore removed them both. Instead, I've written some general guidelines for posting in this topic.)

Please note:
This is a topic meant for small, uncontroversial and easy to implement improvements and fixes. Typos, layout issues, broken links, errors in the manual and minor interface improvements all fit this definition. Feature requests, EULA changes and significant bugs do not.

Similarly, because corrections and easily implemented improvements by default should always be accepted, posting that you agree with a post is pointless. Everyone should always agree. On the other hand, if you disagree with a suggestion posted in this thread, please do post a response, because your disagreement, by definition, means the suggestion does not belong in this thread.

If someone disagrees with a suggestion you've posted here, then your suggestion didn't belong here in the first place. That doesn't necessarily mean it's a bad suggestion, though, so if you feel sufficiently strongly about it, and you want to defend it, then by all means, start a new thread for it, but don't clutter up this thread.

TL;DR: if you suspect someone might disagree with your suggestion, don't post here, open a new thread for it. If you want to express support for a suggestion made in this thread, don't post here. If you want to express disagreement with a suggestion made in this thread, do post here. If you want to argue with someone who disagrees with a suggestion, don't post here, open a new thread.

When I'm logged out, why do I not return to the page I was previously on?

I can click on the headers of every column on the Galaxy page, except for the '#' one. This is dumb.

The same goes for the 'Last Active' column of the Alliance -> Members page.

Why when your gal has incs you can click the red Hostile link on the overview to go the Gal Status, but when you're alone to have incs, the same red Hostile link doesn't work.

It would be rather useful if this list also showed coords, because right now you can't see if your buddies have done their setup stuff. While you're at it, make it a link.

Completely agreed on this one, almost every round I find myself mildly annoyed by this

This one really annoys me, I have found no good reason why it doesn't go to gal status screen

When I reset my planet, alliance scan sharing settings are kept, but the quest isn't done. Either forget the settings or finish the quest, so I don't have to turn them off and then on.

Because you can't change your race after you've collected the bonus.

I don't know if that's true, but there's no reason why that shouldn't be possible.

The startup bonus is race-dependent and based on race research/construction points. The idea is to stop people from setting it to e.g. terran or cath to get lots of cu/rp and use them, and then change race.

The "your galaxy has incomings" link takes you to the galaxy status page. The "you have incomings" takes you to the overview page. When you click it on the overview page, it takes you back to the same page.

It's only underlined on the skin you're using; to differentiate links from text.

As long as the bonus isn't used, there should be no problem.

STARGATE
Researchtime: 28 ticks
Research Points: 0/4800

In that case, it isn't working properly. Stargate is a link, the rest isn't - everything is underlined. Also, stargate shows up with bold just like a link looks in every other page in-game. Example:

LIGHT FACTORY
Cost: Metal 10,000 Crystal 10,000 Eonium 10,000

Can you just accept that it's wrong and fix the damn thing? It doesn't take more than 2 minutes to change the formatting layout on a page. :/

It would be interesting to know what the first page people visit when they login and see they have incs. As they're already on the overview, i guess pointing the link to the gal status would be an improvement.

Re: Nagging over tiny things

CORPORATISM

DEMOCRACY

NATIONALISM
A Nationalist government has impressively high natural alertness combined with enviable income bonuses and a small research bonus. This comes at the expense of slower production of ships and a painfully slow construction rate.

SOCIALISM
A Socialist government has moderate bonuses in mining, construction, production time and stealth, for the benefit of all.

TOTALITARIANISM

Why is there a description only for socialism and nationalism and not for the rest of them also?

Why, as GC, are you not auto set to trusted?

Does all "wanted" status reset if the GC changes?

I always go to gal status. However, if this is going to be a longer discussion, I'd like to ask you to make a new thread for it. In this thread, I'd prefer to stick to simple things that everyone can agree should be fixed.

Why do I get the "you have completed all quests of category X" reward before the reward of the last quest in category X?

Traditionally, on the galaxy page, planets in your alliance are indicated with an "A" in front of them. Please also automatically set the alliance and nick of these planets in the last column.

(Also, unset the alliance (but not nick) of planets that leave)

From what I've seen, if whoever's doing the scan hovers over the scan link for a few seconds before clicking, you can avoid this issue.
