Some girl that I met the other night at a bar said the following out loud in a non-joking or humorous manner:

Re: Internet talk in real life
how did she say them though? if it was jay-kay instead of joke or oh-em-gee instead of oh my god you should have slapped her
|
Re: Internet talk in real life
you should have had more....
|
Re: Internet talk in real life
I sometimes say "zoh-my-god" (zomg!) in response to things, but only to a few people who know what the difference is. I suppose that's not REALLY the same though.

Re: Internet talk in real life
I shall admint I've said "lol" out loud a few times
|
Re: Internet talk in real life
The only phrease i've uttered was one i think developed by Dace.
Someone said: 'He was shot in the face' i replied the only way one can: 'With bullets not cum' Needless to say the ensuing silence was not my proudest moment. :( |

Re: Internet talk in real life
I've said "zomg" in a joking manner to my brothers and cousin.
I regularly tell my little brother to "stfu" or "gtfo" and he gets really wound up by it too. |
Re: Internet talk in real life
Ive said 'zomg' but only to people who know what it means.

Re: Internet talk in real life
People who utter online phrases in a real-life, face-to-face conversation, should be shot.

Re: Internet talk in real life

She sounds like she was cruisin' for a bruisin'.

Re: Internet talk in real life
I've done the 'bullets not cum' thing as well :(
I tend to use silly things. I used to tell people they had face aids all the time. Tony uses the word 'mongchop' all the time thanks to Marilyn Manson, and I still say 'OH NOES!!' a lot when I am being sarcastic. |
Re: Internet talk in real life
I was sat in my union bar about an hour ago and said "lollyskates" :(
|
Re: Internet talk in real life
I occasionally throw out a 'wtf'. In dutch it's pronounced as "way tay eff" though, so it doesn't lose it's flow like in English where you'd have to say "double you tee eff".
Also guilty of the "bullets not cum thing" as Kura could attest were he still here :( |
Re: Internet talk in real life
I have used "bullets not cum" (got some dirty looks for that one), lol, roffle, lolly roffle, lmao and zoh-my-god. But only ever in a joking way

Re: Internet talk in real life
My path is clean, "internet talk in reallife"-wise.
For some reason Ive manage to keep my mouth shut. |

Re: Internet talk in real life
I say lol\omg all the time around my closest mates, never around the opposite sex though.
|
Re: Internet talk in real life
I wouldn't use any of those over the internet, let alone in real life.
|
Re: Internet talk in real life
I can't really understand how one can use (say) OMG/WTF, when "oh my god" and "what the ****" are equally as long and actually make sense.

the bullets not cum thing is something i'm sure most people here have said before they even realised it.
