BandAid 20
Well, continuing my recent spate of music related posts, here's another.
I've just heard the "World exclusive first play!!!!112" of BandAid 20 on Radio 1. What do you guys think? I think it's a good record personally, although I'm not sure about the rap bit. I imagine it'll grow on me though, and my impression of it wasn't helped by an articulated lorry driving past and making my poor little car shake so I'll listen out for that bit when it's played again later. :) |
Re: BandAid 20
I thought it was ok. After listening to it a grand total of once I think it could grow on me. I agree with you on the rapping part, I don’t think Dizzee Rascal should have bothered.
Well I am going to buy the CD as it has the original one as well. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/entertain...ic/4012975.stm |
Re: BandAid 20
I thought it was shit.
It'll only sell because it's "Bandaid" - if any artist had released it individually it wouldn't have gone anywhere. |
Re: BandAid 20
Pictures of starving children sell records..............
I'd prefer it if the 'rock stars' dug into their own pockets instead of recording shite songs ~Vaio~ |
Re: BandAid 20
bandaid is just a way for artists to boost their egos (look at bono, the egotistical prick)

Re: BandAid 20

Hlaf of the people in the band are crap.
I also think they missed out Chris Martin of Coldplay in that list of the BBC website. His picture was in one of the tabloid newspaper yesterday. |
Re: BandAid 20
it is a wet and slightly uncomfortable karaoke version of a dire record meant to guilt another generation into giving money to help maintain popstars careers i mean help starving children

Re: BandAid 20
I am fully in support of the other, lesser known charity record at this christmas.
Starve the world. |
Re: BandAid 20
ATTENTION: The United Kingdom is still lacking musical talent.

Re: BandAid 20
If it's anything like the abomination that was the original, then it'll be absolutely appalling.

Re: BandAid 20
What is this band aid thing?

Re: BandAid 20
oh a bunch of pop stars flying around the country first class in order to sing a line in a song, and then pretending to be oh so charitable, then going back tome to their mansions, ferraris and caviare and then telling themselves how good and charitable they are and pretending to lament at the poor miserable lives that people in Ethiopia are living, while drinking their cups of coffee (which some poor sod probably worked a week for to get a couple of dollars), and wearing their fashinable clothes that were made in some sweatshop in malaysia or China by a child who was variously kidnapped from, or sold by their parents who live in a mud hut and eat food from a discarded dustbin lid. All good stuff, you have to commend these popstars for being such generous people, and not a bunch of rich bastards who give half an hour of their time and make themselves out to be mother theresa (who was a cow herself, but that's another thread)

Re: BandAid 20
I don't blame the 'musical artists' for trying to succeed, I blame the shitheads on your shit island for promoting them.
Welsh sheep wool has more talent than "Busted" and "The Darkness" hair combined. |

But at least there's a greater margin of good vs. shit. And what the hell has the Netherlands given the world in decent music? |

I question this, I really really do. On topic, so this whole thing is a plaster for a gaping festering mortal wound then and about as effective? |
