only 13k maximum cutlass should of been able to cap

It actually works quite simple. Due to the damage rating of the Cutlass, one Cutlass can steal more than its own value in Cathaar CO. This means that while only 13k Cutlass actually opened fire, they stole Cat Co worth 16967 Cutlass. And with the engine maxing out your Cutlass steal losses (unless all are already killed), you lost the max possible number.

That's right. Zik ships die by value weight so you lose the value equivalent of what you've stolen regardless of whether or not they've actually fired.

im not saying they fired, I understand fully what wandows and jonny said, but if you take the battle report at face value then it looks like they fired, so it looks odd
